A&A – Alice & Ankur Private Chefs
1. Identity of the Service Providers
A&A – Alice & Ankur Private Chefs is the trading name under which Alice Moche and Ankur Gupta provide private chef and culinary services.
The services are provided by two independent sole traders:

The identity of the sole trader entering into the contract and issuing the invoice for the service is specified in the corresponding quote and invoice.
2. Purpose
These Terms and Conditions of Sale define the terms under which A&A – Alice & Ankur Private Chefs offers and provides its culinary services, including:
- private chef services at home;
- private lunches and dinners;
- private or corporate events;
- and, more generally, any culinary service covered by a quote.
Any booking implies full and unconditional acceptance of these Terms and Conditions of Sale.
3. Service Requests and Quotes
Any request may be made through the website, by email or via any other contact method offered by A&A.
Following an exchange to clarify the client’s requirements, A&A will provide a quote specifying, in particular:
- the date and location of the service;
- the number of guests;
- the menu or nature of the service;
- the services included;
- the price;
- any additional charges;
- the amount of the deposit required.
The quote is valid for the period specified in the document.
The service is only definitively booked once the quote has been accepted and the deposit specified in the quote has been paid.
4. Prices
Prices are stated in euros, inclusive of all applicable taxes (VAT included).
The final price is the price stated in the quote accepted by the client.
It is determined in particular according to the menu selected, the number of guests, the location of the service, any specific requests and any additional services.
Any additional request made after the quote has been accepted may be subject to an additional charge, with the client’s prior agreement.
Prices displayed on the website are indicative and may be subject to change.
5. Deposit and Booking
A deposit of 30% of the total price, including VAT, is required to confirm the booking.
The date is only guaranteed once this deposit has been received.
The remaining balance must be paid no later than 7 days before the date of the service, unless otherwise expressly stated in the quote.
The payment is expressly considered a deposit and not a cancellation deposit.
6. Number of Guests
The final number of guests must be confirmed to A&A no later than 7 days before the service.
If the number of guests decreases after this date, the amount corresponding to the number of guests initially confirmed will remain payable.
If the number of guests increases, A&A will make every effort to accommodate the request, subject to feasibility and product availability.
Any increase in the number of guests will result in an adjustment to the price of the service.
7. Menus and Product Availability
Menus are created according to seasonal produce and product availability.
A&A reserves the right, in exceptional circumstances, to replace a product that has become unavailable or does not meet the expected quality standards with a product of equivalent quality and standard.
Where such a change substantially affects the agreed menu, the client will be informed as soon as possible.
8. Allergies, Intolerances and Dietary Requirements
The client agrees to inform A&A, before the menu is finally approved, of any allergies, intolerances or dietary requirements concerning the guests.
A&A will adapt the menu as far as reasonably possible based on the information provided.
However, as food may be prepared in kitchens or environments where various allergens are present,the complete absence of traces of an allergen cannot be guaranteed, unless expressly agreed otherwise.
The client is responsible for ensuring that the information provided regarding their guests’ allergies and intolerances is accurate and complete.
9. Requirements for At-Home Services
To ensure that the service can be provided under suitable conditions, the client agrees to provide A&A with:
- a clean and accessible kitchen;
- access to drinking water;
- a functioning electricity supply;
- a refrigerator with sufficient available space;
- a suitable workspace;
- any equipment agreed in advance with A&A.
A&A will provide any specific equipment required for the service where this has been included in the quote.
The client must inform A&A before the service of any circumstances that may affect its organisation, such as difficult access, absence of a lift, specific parking conditions, missing equipment, building access restrictions, etc.
10. Travel and Parking
Services are mainly provided in Paris and the Île-de-France region.
Any applicable travel expenses will be specified in the quote.
Parking costs directly required for the provision of the service may be charged to the client where they were not included in the initial price, provided that the client has been informed in advance.
11. Timings
A&A’s arrival time will be determined according to the menu and the preparation required.
The client agrees to provide access to the location of the service at the time agreed in advance.
Any significant delay by the client or inability to access the location may result in the service being delayed, and A&A cannot be held responsible for any resulting impact on the originally scheduled timing.
12. Cancellation by the Client
More than 30 days before the service: the deposit paid will be refunded, less any costs already incurred and which cannot be recovered.
Between 30 and 15 days before the service: the 30% deposit will be retained.
Between 14 and 8 days before the service: 50% of the total price of the service will be payable.
7 days or less before the service: 100% of the total price of the service will be payable.
13. Cancellation by A&A
If A&A is unable to provide the service due to circumstances beyond its control, the client will be informed as soon as possible.
Where the service cannot be rescheduled or no satisfactory alternative solution can be offered, any amounts paid for the service that could not be provided will be refunded.
No additional compensation may be claimed where the cancellation results from an event of force majeure within the meaning of applicable law.
14. Changes to or Rescheduling of the Service
Any request to change the date, location, number of guests or content of the service must be submitted to A&A as soon as possible.
A&A will make every effort to accommodate the requested change but cannot guarantee that it will be possible.
A significant change may require a new quote to be issued.
In the event of a request to reschedule, any amounts already paid may, with A&A’s agreement, be applied to a new date, subject to availability.
15. Right of Withdrawal
As the services offered by A&A mainly consist of catering services booked for a specific date or period, they are not subject to the fourteen-day right of withdrawal, in accordance with Article L.221-28, 12° of the French Consumer Code.
The French Consumer Code expressly provides for this exception for catering services to be provided on a specific date or during a specific period.
This provision does not affect any other rights the client may have under applicable law.
16. Equipment, Tableware and Breakage
Where A&A provides equipment, tableware or presentation items as part of the service, these remain the property of A&A or its service providers.
Any breakage, loss or damage attributable to the client or one of their guests may be charged at replacement value, upon presentation of supporting documentation.
17. End of Service and Clean-Up
Unless otherwise specified in the quote, A&A will tidy and clean the equipment and work areas used for the preparation and service.
General cleaning of the client’s home, reception area or any areas not directly used by A&A is not included in the service.
18. Liability
A&A undertakes to provide its services with due care and in accordance with applicable professional standards.
A&A cannot be held liable for consequences resulting from inaccurate or incomplete information provided by the client, particularly regarding allergies, intolerances, access conditions or available equipment.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions of Sale is intended to exclude or limit any liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
19. Photographs
A&A may wish to photograph dishes and culinary creations prepared as part of its services.
Photographs that do not identify the client, their guests or their home may be used to showcase A&A’s work, including on its website and social media, subject to respect for privacy.
Any photograph that identifies a person or contains elements that clearly identify a private residence will only be published with the prior consent of the person concerned.
20. Personal Data
Personal data collected in connection with quote requests and services is used solely for the purposes necessary to manage the request, organise and provide the services, and comply with administrative and legal obligations.

21. Complaints
Any complaint regarding a service should be submitted as soon as possible to:

A&A will endeavour to find an amicable solution with the client.
22. Applicable Law
These Terms and Conditions of Sale are governed by French law.
In the event of a dispute, A&A and the client will first endeavour to reach an amicable resolution.
If no amicable agreement can be reached, the dispute will be brought before the competent court in accordance with applicable legal rules.
